Manveer Rahul Sohodeb from Constance Belle Mare Plage won the Jack Daniel’s Cocktail Battle 2018, surpassing some thirty other barmen. The contest that took place on the 7th September, and organised by Grays the official distributor of the brand in Mauritius, saw the participation of the barmen from the hotels that are the best sellers of Jack Daniel’s in Mauritius.
The contest was held in the presence of Nir Chouchana, one of the most renowned barmen in France. The latter also led a one-day workshop for the participants. During the “battle”, they had to prepare cocktails presented by the French barman, while adding their personal touch. Manveer Rahul Sohodeb won a cash prize of Rs. 50 000, and the runner-up Suhail Kitaruth, barman from LUX* Belle Mare, won Rs. 25 000. Constance Belle Mare Plage, which was represented by the winner, has been awarded One-litre Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select bottles and three-litre Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottles.
