Air Mauritius reorganises its flight planning system on Rodrigues

Air Mauritius decided to reorganise its flight planning system on the flights to and from Rodrigues, with the aim of providing a more adapted and improved service to its passengers. During a meeting held on the 3rd October between the CEO of Air Mauritius Somas Appavou, and the Chief Commissioner of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly, Serge Clair, it has been decided that the Rogriguan passengers will continue to benefit from the Open ticket, with conditions applying. They will now have to book their seats before presenting at the airport. This decision has been taken in order to continue offering to the residents of Rodrigues this privilege that they already had, while ensuring a better coordination and organisation of the flight on Rodrigues for all the passengers. The Deputy Commissioner Franchette Gaspard-Pierre Louis, and the Island Chief Executive David Hee Hong Wye, also attended that meeting. Among the themes discussed during the meeting, there was the new landing runway at Plaine Corail due to open in 2021 as well as the special place given for typical products from Rodrigues on board Air Mauritius.
