Mauritius has been bestowed the Golf Destination of the Year for Africa, Indian Ocean and the Gulf States title at the IAGTO Awards held in Slovenia on Thursday 18th October 2018. The winners of these prestigious awards were announced during the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) gala dinner in the presence of partners of the golf industry worldwide. With these prestigious awards, Mauritius receiving this accolade for the second time, is consolidating its positioning as a remarkable golf destination on the international scene. Besides, the island will be soon hosting two major competitions, namely the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, sanctioned by the European, Asian and Sunshine Tours, and the MCB Senior Open.
