Several Mauritian hotels have been rewarded during the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2018 held on the 10th November at Bali. The prizes were split into four categories: Global, Continent, Regional and Country. Ten prizes have been bestowed to Constance Hotels and Resorts, three in Mauritius and seven in the region: Luxury Golf Resort for Constance Belle Mare Plage, and Luxury Hotel Best Scenic Environment and Best General Manager for Constance Prince Maurice in Mauritius in the Global category, and in the region as follows: Constance Tsarabanjina (Luxury Private Island Resort) and Constance Halaveli (Luxury Water Villa Resort) in the Global category, and Constance Lemuria (Luxury Golf Resort), Constance Ephelia (Luxury Eco/Green hotel et Luxury Family Resort), and Constance Moofushi (Luxury Eco Resort et Luxury Honeymoon Resort) for the Continent category. LUX* Le Morne has for its part been awarded the Luxury Heritage Hotel on the global level. Club Med d’Albion has been granted two prizes, the Luxury Family resort and the Luxury Family All-Inclusive Resort, whereas Sofitel Mauritius L’Imperial obtained the Luxury Coastal Resort award. Four hotels have been rewarded in the Continent category: Club Med d’Albion (Family Hotel), Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge (Boutique-Hotel), SO Sofitel Mauritius (Romantic Beach Resort) and Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort (Wellness Hotel).
The World Luxury Hotel Awards, founded in 2006, reward every year the luxury hotels on global, continental, regional and local level worldwide, based on the vote of some 300 000 travellers around the world.
