After 28 years spent at Beachcomber, Malenn Oodiah, Director of Communication, will be leaving the group to dedicate all his time to his “Projet de société” initiated since more than one year. His early retirement will be effective as from the 31st December, but he will continue to act as consultant for NMH all along 2019 and will remain the President of the FED (Fondation Espoir et Développement) until the 20th anniversary of the foundation in March 2019. During all these years, Malenn Oodiah has laid the foundation for various projects in the communication and social fields, namely Fondation Espoir et Développement (FED), Local Hands, regional committees, the PEJ project, the Ecole de partage, Beachcomber News, the Beachcomber Screens and the Beachcomber film « La Main dans la Main », among others.
This society project for which Malenn is leaving the group, has been launched along the 50th anniversary of the independence of Mauritius celebrated this year. The project, benefitting of a partnership with Defi Media, is about the organisation of monthly debates with 25 problematics of the Mauritian society. Following the departure of Malenn Oodiah, the Communication team will be consolidated and reporting to Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, CEO of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels.
