The Moka Trail is getting more and more popular with some 2 200 persons registered for this 2018 edition taking place on Saturday 13th October. During a press conference this Wednesday 26th September, the organising committee, represented by Mikaël Le Luron from ENL, Simon Desvaux, Race Director, as well as some of the sponsors, gave an overview of this 6th edition that will see the participation of Anne Cécile Delchini and Jean Marie Cadet from Reunion Island, and who have recently won the eighth Trail Urbain de St Denis (Reunion) in the Senior Ladies and Men categories respectively.
The Moka Trail, the only trail taking place in the centre of the island, will feature three circuits: the 6 km Fun Jog (as from 8 years old – 1240 participants), the 15 km Petit Both with an altitude difference of 800m (as from 14 years old – 830 participants), and the 30 km Grand Pouce with an altitude difference of 1300m (150 participants). The winner of the 15km and 30km races will win Rs 2500 and Rs 5000 respectively. This year, a team from Helios will be present along the Fun Jog circuit with some surprises for the participants.
The organising committee has taken into consideration the previous experiences of the Moka Trail to improve the coming edition. The tracks have already been marked out to allow the participants to do a reconnaissance and get familiar to them before the event.
