Constance Hotels & Resorts organised, for the first time in Mauritius, a Golf Show on Legend golf course on Friday 13th July. This event that was dedicated to professionals of the industry and golf amateurs was the occasion to introduce the new features available on the market - services, products and techniques, through conferences led by experts and a commercial fair set up on the course. There was also a golf tournament dedicated to the partners during the day and the pair Marc d’Argent and Brian Van de Brix Solution Co Ltd won the first place.
Phil Ryan, director at Pacific Coast Design, led a conference on golf business during the Constance Mauritius Golf Show 2018.
Several international experts came to Mauritius especially for the occasion and led conferences about the course maintenance, golf rules and anecdotes, golf social network and golf business. Beth Guerthal, professor at Auburn University, United States, Theo Manyama, Chief Rules Official of The Sunshine Tour in South Africa, Brandon de Souza from Tiger Golf Marketing in India, and Phil Ryan from Pacific Coast Design Golf Architects in Australia. were among these experts. According to Paul Stevens, organiser of the event and Group Superintendent of Golf Courses at Constance Hotels & Resorts, with the aim of “democratising golf in the country though various sports and social initiatives, the Constance Mauritius Golf Show 2018 was a success, mainly for the pedagogical part. The seminars were overbooked and the number of participants exceeded their expectations.”
